Welcome! This is my latest (and I have to say most exciting) endeavor to date! And I want you (yes, you) to be a part of it too! Wanna know more? Well then read on!
WHAT IT IS/BASIC RULES/JOIN IN/YOUR OWN WORK/WHATEVER ELSE
~You can see what is developing in our story here! (COMING SOON!)~
~And here you can read about my own personal FanFic! (IN PROGRESS)~
THE MATHNET FANFIC: WHAT IS IT? AND WHY?
Well, the Mathnet FanFic (aka FanFiction) is a going to be a fictional story, very much like a real episode of Mathnet, and can be based on as little or as much as one wants of the actual show. Still confused? I'll explain.
You've probably heard of FanFics being written about other shows throughout the 'Net, and that is basically what this will be. It will be a group effort; everyone involved will contribute to the story in some way, making it a large collaboration of many of our ideas and whatnot. It's basically a way to take a person's love of a show and make it into their own little original adventure. In a nutshell, we are continuing in the spirit of the show with all-new 'episodes'. Oh yeah, and it will be posted on the site for everyone to see from time to time. You got it now? Good! (If not, read this paragraph again 'till you do!)
There are many possibilities as to how a FanFic is written, and it will be mostly up to each individual, within an agreed set of standards (which will be decided once I know who is gonna play!). You can be very flexible with a good storyline and some inspiration! Just don't forget: this is meant to be fun and somewhat educational!
If you'd like some inspiration or enlightenment as to how one can turn out, read Carly's stories here!

RULES AND REGS FOR THE PROJECT.
Each writer will take his or her turn by adding more to the FanFic, and then it will be passed back (via E-mail, ICQ File Transfer, or whatever) to the 'Chief Editor Person' (which is me) for review and editing, and then will be sent on to the next person on the list. The list order will be determined once I get a good working list of interested fans.
Do the best you can to format your part of the story correctly: use paragraphs and know when to end one and start another, put the dialogue in quotes, use spaces and indenting where needed, etc. As long as you paid at least a little attention in English class, this should make sense to you. Also be sure to use a little math in the story; it doesn't need to be a lot, but it needs to sorta go along with the way Mathnet was done. Always consult your video library (or someone else's) if you are stuck! ;@ )
You can write in new and old characters, relationships, and locations if you wish. Just be sure to read what everyone else wrote before you to keep the continuity (the general flow of the story) going. We don't wanna read a chopped-up, gibber jabber, stranger-filled story, do we? A RULE OF THUMB: Don't get too carried away and you'll be fine!
I can and most likely will edit stories for content as I see fit. I won't always be doing this, so chances are if the story is working, I won't have to do much editing. I will spellcheck and edit grammar as necessary. I will axe inappropriate content if need be (such as extreme adult content and vulgarity). However, I will allow mild adult content if you really wanna use it (it can be very fun if used cleverly). So watch yourself, and have fun (but not TOO MUCH). Just remember, children will be reading this as well as older adults, so keep that in mind when you write something of question. 'Course in this day and age, kids seem to know it all by Kindergarten! But just be careful, anyway.
I am not worried about the length of the story at all; as long as we're having fun and you have good stuff to add, the 'episode' will continue on. And if a new case springs out of the story, we can always start another FanFic.
Here's what I don't wanna see, PERIOD: No racist comments or defamation of other people or groups of people (you can however use socially acceptable everyday teasing and clean jokes). No hard-core porno stuff. No talk of abuse (verbal, physical, etc.) unless it is discussed beforehand with everyone. No plagiarism of other people's work (I will know if you have, so watch it!). No hogging the whole story. You may not submit this work for publishing or for monetary compensation. I think you get the idea. If there's other issues you'd like to see here, or have questions about, let me know.
What I DO wanna see: Creativity, originality, fun and interesting characters, lots of suspense and excitement, and write it so we can 'see' the action in our own minds. Bring in the past characters that everyone knows and loves so well! Let the 'Netters do what they do best! Let them travel to LA and back! Use Kate, Pat and George, as well as all the other supporting characters (like Benny Pill, Thad Green, Joe Grecco, Debbie Williams, and so on...). Have fun! Let your mind flow! :@ )

HOW TO JOIN IN!
Simple enough: . Let me know what ideas you have. Tell me you wanna be a part of this. I'll add you to the list. I'll keep you informed. You write, we have fun. Can you handle that?

GET YOUR ORIGINAL WORK CRITIQUED BY FELLOW FANS!
Have you written your own Mathnet FanFic before? I know some of you have sent them to me. (And I love to read them, too!) If you have, feel free to submit them for peer editing, or whatnot. We like to see other people's stuff. I like to write my own stories too. So if you wanna do a 'solo' story and wanna share, I can post it here. Don't be embarrassed- most of us have done this at one time or another! That's just what 'hard core' fans do. I will in fact be putting up some of my stuff in the future. Be not afraid! We aren't professional Theme Readers anyway. Everyone makes mistakes at times (yes, even you!). Please do fix the file formatting to one most people can read, such as a .txt or .doc file. It'll look funny otherwise. That's all there is to it! :@ )

ANYTHING ELSE?
I don't really have much else to say. Besides, you're probably tired and wanna get back to work anyway. But if I left something out, it'll be here. So there. Good day! And, 'May the Math be with You!'
